The new crown pneumonia epidemic is almost two years in Hong Kong. Recently, due to the emergence of a variant virus strain Omicron, the government took the lead yesterday (24) to announce measures such as arranging for adults who have been vaccinated with two doses of the new crown vaccine to receive the third dose of booster.
At the same time, the Centre for Health Protection announced that as of midnight today (25th), there have been 25 new imported cases in Hong Kong, and the number has increased significantly.
Christmas in 2021 is the second Christmas under the epidemic. The atmosphere is obviously not as tense as last year. However, most people still haven't been able to travel abroad and stay in Hong Kong for the holidays. People on the street are one after another, and the market is very lively.
Although the masks on everyone's faces are still there most of the time, they are also familiar with wearing masks to return to their daily routines, and even pointed out that there is a phenomenon of "retaliatory consumption".
It is understandable that "anti-epidemic fatigue" is forgotten during the festive season. I only hope that the global epidemic will disappear as soon as possible, so that everyone will have less lumps added by the epidemic during the festive holiday.
