Of the 90 newly elected legislators, nearly half are single-headed members without party affiliation or "one-man party."
Candidate Lin Zhiyuan said that he is currently discussing co-operation with other legislators on people's livelihood and housing issues.
Wu Jiezhuang, another member of the electoral committee, said that he would discuss cooperation with other political parties and hope to reach a consensus.
Member-designate Lin Xiaolu said that he would explore the space for cooperation with different parties, but would not form a permanent alliance.
The former chairman of the Legislative Council and chairman of the Democratic Alliance for the Betterment of Hong Kong, Tsang Yok-sing, also stated on a TV program that the formation of independent members of the board can strengthen bargaining power, and he also suggested that members should divide their work to improve efficiency.

Jasper Tsang said that some of the elected members have no political background and believe that they will form the same board in the future to discuss policies with the government. Jasper Tsang believes that apart from cooperation, the division of labor is also important. The number of committees in the next Legislative Council is limited. Members can focus on individual areas without joining too many committees. The division of labor is more even and efficiency can be improved.
He pointed out that the elected members come from different sectors and are diverse from the background. I believe that they will speak for people of all walks of life and will not just raise their hands in favor of everything.
Lin Zhiyuan, the election commissioner, plans to open an office to deny the lack of supervision of the national team: the inauguration of parliamentarians will be more powerful.
