Do you also vaccinate over the holidays?
This is possible in many regions in Bavaria.
Just not everywhere.
To be on the safe side, it is worth taking a look at the internet.
Munich - Christmas dinner with the family - but before that go to the vaccination center and pick up a spade.
This is possible in many districts and cities in Bavaria.
In some places, however, it has been decided to give the employees - who have been on constant duty for months - a break.
Vaccination in Bavaria: the federal government's vaccination target almost achieved
The goal was clearly set by the new federal government.
30 million vaccinations in Germany by the end of the year.
And the goal has almost been achieved by now.
On Wednesday, the head of the Corona crisis team, Major General Carsten Breuer, announced during his visit to Munich that 28 million vaccine doses had already been administered.
It is now a matter of going on continuously in order to create another 30 million vaccinations in January.
In order for it to work with the first goal, further vaccinations would have to be carried out on the holidays and between the years.
This is possible in many places.
In the Allgäu you can pick up your spades almost everywhere and also on public holidays. As the
Allgäuer Zeitung
writes, the Ostallgäu * vaccination center does not exclude anyone for the festival. “The vaccination centers are open on both Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve,” says Benjamin Schäling from the Ostallgäu district office. In Lindau *, of the 250 free appointments on December 26th, hardly any are out of stock. Nevertheless, they want to give people the opportunity to vaccinate, it says from the district office.
In Lower Franconia, when it comes to vaccination, there is more of a patchwork quilt.
In the district of Miltenberg * they want to continue immunizing vigorously.
"Of course we vaccinate on the Christmas holidays", the district in the Bavarian Untermain lets the
BR
know: "That
goes without saying
for us." Only one district further, in Aschaffenburg *, the vaccination center in Hösbach is closed - at least on the holidays.
Here you can get vaccinated between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve.
In Schweinfurt *, however, the door remains completely closed.
The demand has declined and they want to give employees the opportunity to take a deep breath on the holidays, according to
BR
demand.

Munich closes its vaccination center over the holidays
In the state capital Munich *, the lights are off at the vaccination center on the exhibition grounds in Riem.
On the city's website, those willing to vaccinate are informed that it is closed on Christmas Eve, public holidays, New Year's Eve and New Year's.
And also with vaccination campaigns over Christmas it looks bleak.
Almost everywhere it doesn't start again until December 27th.
But if you want to grab a spades spontaneously, you can still come to the vaccination campaigns in Munich today (December 23) in the town hall and on the Theresienwiese.
To find out whether the regional vaccination center is open over the Christmas period, it is often worth taking a look at the homepage of the respective district office.
All dates of the various vaccination campaigns in Bavaria can be found on the homepage of the Ministry of Health in Munich.
