Commercial airlines around the world canceled more than 4,500 flights over the weekend as the mutant Omicron coronavirus spread.
Reuters reported that airlines canceled yesterday at least 2,401 flights worldwide, and about ten thousand more flights were delayed, amid fears of an outbreak of Omicron, especially in the holiday season.
Corona injuries in the United States have risen in recent days due to the rapidly spreading mutant Omicron, which was first discovered last November and now accounts for nearly three quarters of infections among Americans.
