An IDF disabled person suffering from post-trauma tried to hang himself in front of the Rehabilitation Division in Kiryat Ono.
The man, who was injured many years ago, arrived today (Sunday) at the entrance to the Rehabilitation Wing equipped with a hanging rope and a wooden box.
He delivered a speech in which he said he was not getting the care he needed, then climbed on the box, wrapped the rope around his neck and kicked the box.
Various reports indicate that the entire event may have been broadcast live on Facebook.
Fortunately, within seconds those present managed to free the man from the gallows.
The Ministry of Defense stated that "Ministry of Defense security guards rescued an IDF invalid from attempted suicide outside the offices of the Rehabilitation Division in Tel Hashomer.
"The security guards of the office, who noticed the experience, reached the disabled person within seconds, stopped him and gave him initial treatment until MDA arrived. The disabled person was taken to hospital with full consciousness."
"Initial investigation, this is an IDF disabled person who has been recognized since 1994 for a physical disability of 11%.
About two weeks ago he applied for further recognition for post-trauma.
The treating district contacted him and even offered him psychiatric treatment in parallel with the recognition procedures and treatment he was receiving in the community.

Activists dealing with the issue of post-trauma intend to demonstrate in front of the offices of the Rehabilitation Division regarding the continued treatment of IDF disabled people in the matter.
