Exciting tribute:

Arnold Schwarzenegger, the well-known Hollywood star and former California governor, has decided to donate $ 250,000 ahead of Christmas to purchase 25 small houses for homeless military veterans who have so far lived in tents on the streets.

Everything you need for winter on sale

The actor said he discovered that the Los Angeles City Council had vacated tents of former fighters and moved them into housing where small houses run by the American Association for the Rehabilitation of Veterans.

Schwarzenegger contacted the Minister of Veterans Affairs, Dennis McDonough, and a number of charities, donated the large sum of money, and last Saturday inaugurated the new buildings.

"I happily celebrated Christmas early, visiting the 25 homes I donated to homeless veterans in Los Angeles. It was amazing to spend time with our heroes and have them in their new homes."

In an interview with Fox News, the movie star said that "the United States has given me everything I am. I made all my money and publicity as a bodybuilder, actor and politician here in America so it's a great feeling to give something back to the community."

One of the fighters, Bruce Henry Cooper, personally thanked Schwarzger and said that "this is a life-saving act for me. I'm glad Schwarzenegger did not forget us. Although these are small houses, it is clear that there is a difference between living in a tent with rats and squirrels and living in a heated house."

The size of the small houses ranges from 70 to 90 meters and they provide a roof, heating, shower and the option of tidy accommodation.

These complexes are run by associations of the former Warriors Rehabilitation Administration, with the goal of getting them to find a permanent home and better integrate into American society.

A similar project, with 49 homes, also exists in Kansas City, Missouri.
