Tseng Weiye, representative of Lai Chi Wo Village, said that the story hall helps visitors to experience the traditional Hakka culture of the seven villages in Qingchun and the simple and colorful life of the villagers in the past.

Seven villages in the Northeast of the New Territories (Lai Chi Wo, Suoluo Pen, Huizi Lin, Clam Pond, Xiaotan, Niu Shihu and Sam Yee Village) in the northeastern New Territories. The story hall is rebuilt with a Hakka house. It displays more than 80 villagers’ visit stories, and there are recordings of Hakka folk songs for listening.

At the opening ceremony, Jiabin Environment Bureau Director Huang Jinxing mentioned that in the past, information technology was not popularized, and Hakka people used folk songs to "pass the mountain". However, many folk songs have long been lost, and the story museum found that there are still in Lai Chi Wo Village. Huang Bo, a resident who knows how to sing folk songs, recorded 21 folk songs in the museum for tourists to listen to.

In addition to folk songs, traditional medical techniques show the past Hakka medical techniques and herbal medicine to the public, and introduce the Hakka people's long-standing treatment methods; and the wedding customs collects interviews with villagers’ marriage stories in Lai Chi Wo, and introduces traditional wedding banquet habits, etc. ; Daily life will introduce the Hakka people’s traditional lifestyle.

Mr. Zeng, a villager in Lai Chi Wo, immigrated to the United Kingdom in the 1970s and returned to live in his hometown, Lai Chi Wo, saying that he "always had feelings for Yi Neid".

He absolutely welcomes the establishment of the story hall. He cited examples of traditional medical themes to promote the understanding of Chinese herbal medicine to the younger generation.

At the opening ceremony, Huang Jinxing appealed to the public to respond to the AFCD’s "no traces on the mountains and seas", and urged the public to take away their trash during outings to protect remote villages.
