42-year-old female patient lives in Parkview Bay, Mong Kok

The announcement involved two initially confirmed imported cases who had stayed in Hong Kong during the incubation period. The first case involved a 42-year-old female patient, a local crew member of Cathay Pacific, living in Block 7, Parkview Bay Phase 1, 18 Hoi Ting Road, Mong Kok.

She left for Australia on December 22 and tested negative for the virus on December 21 before leaving Hong Kong.

She was a colleague of an earlier imported case. They took flight CX138 from Australia and arrived in Hong Kong on December 24.

When she arrived in Hong Kong, the test result of the sample taken at the temporary sample collection center of Hong Kong International Airport was negative, and the test result of the sample taken at the Penny's Bay Quarantine Center on December 25 was initially positive.

She is asymptomatic and confirmed to have the N501Y mutant virus strain.

She received two doses of Kexing vaccine in Hong Kong.

The patient went to the Lee Garden of Telford Plaza.

16-year-old male patient arrived in Hong Kong from the United States on the 26th

The second case involved a 16-year-old male patient living in Block 17, Yangming Villa, 88 Tai Tam Reservoir Road.

He traveled to the United States on December 16 and tested negative on December 23.

He took flight CX881 from the United States and arrived in Hong Kong on December 26. When he arrived in Hong Kong, the test result at the temporary sample collection center was initially positive.

The patient developed symptoms on December 25, and the test results of the mutant virus strain are yet to be determined.

He received two doses of Fubital vaccine in Hong Kong and the United States.

The epidemiological investigation and case tracking of the two cases are still in progress.

For the sake of prudence, the authorities included the places where the cases had lived or visited in Hong Kong during the incubation period into the mandatory test announcement.

Anyone who has been in the relevant specified place during the specified period must undergo mandatory testing on the specified day.

A 26-year-old male patient was diagnosed in Shanghai

Announcing another confirmed case in Shanghai involved a 26-year-old male patient living in the Crowne Plaza Hotel Kowloon East, Hong Kong.

He took flight MU508 from Hong Kong to Shanghai on December 19. He developed symptoms on December 22 and tested positive on December 24.

He received two doses of Kexing vaccine in the Mainland on May 13 and June 27.

The places where the patient lived, worked and visited in Hong Kong during the incubation period have been included in the mandatory testing announcement.
