The ideological controversies in the coalition are coming out again:
MK Jida Rinawi Zoabi (Meretz) visited the cabinet meeting held today (Sunday) in the Golan Heights.
"In my opinion, the decision today to hold a meeting in the Golan Heights today was a mistake," said the Meretz MK.
"The law of the Golan Heights is the law of occupied territory. The Golan Heights must be part of any future agreement and political negotiations, even if at present in Syria the situation does not allow it."
MK Zoabi added: "This is my opinion and this is also the opinion of the Meretz party, which in its platform gives the Golan Heights an attitude similar to that given to it in the 'Arab Peace Initiative.'
"Attitude that in the past even led the party's former chairman, Yossi Sarid, to support the return of the Golan to Syria as part of a peace agreement."
