More than 97,000 little Christmas miracles for children in need

This year the humedica aid organization distributed a total of 97,403 parcels to children in need worldwide.

The main recipients are children in need in Ukraine, Serbia, Moldova, Romania, Albania or Kosovo.

Kaufbeuren - humedica is behind the “Gift with a heart” Christmas package campaign. Since 2003 children from particularly needy families, mainly in Eastern and Southeastern Europe, have been given gifts. Thousands of packers in Kaufbeuren and all over Bavaria also took part this year to give those children who live in extreme poverty a little Christmas miracle. And thanks to the numerous donated gifts and gifts, the aid organization has now distributed 97,403 parcels to needy children all over the world.

The majority of the parcels with 85,571 parcels were again packed by people in Bavaria this year. The main recipients are children in need in Ukraine, Serbia, Moldova, Romania, Albania or Kosovo. Here, for example, the packs are distributed in orphanages or hospitals as well as kindergartens and schools to children who have to grow up under difficult conditions and who will also be supported by humedica or partners of the organization in the further course of the year.

To be able to make you happy at Christmas is a great experience every year, "says" Gift with a Heart "campaign leader Roswitha Bahner-Gutsche.

"Our sincere thanks go to the hard-working parcel packers, but also to the many voluntary helpers, without whom this campaign would not be possible."

Above all, the pick-up trips, the control of the parcels, but also many packing campaigns had to take place again this year under special hygiene conditions due to corona.

The distribution of the parcels, which will last until next month due to the Orthodox Christmas festival on January 6th, are also facing very special challenges due to the pandemic.

In addition to the package packers and countless volunteer helpers, the campaign is possible thanks to the support of Sternstunden eV and a media partner.

Outside of Europe, too, the campaign makes boys and girls happy.

In countries such as Ethiopia, Sri Lanka, Brazil, Colombia, Pakistan, Zimbabwe or Togo, humedica partners pack the parcels directly on site.

This not only preserves the added value in the respective country, it also saves transport costs.

This is made possible by donors from all over Germany who have given humedica 20 euros per gifted package.

In the next few days, an additional 12,000 parcels should make children's eyes light up in this way.
