After the court announced today (Sunday) that a discussion should be held on the restrictions on flights from Israel and tourists entering the country, it is worth checking the conditions for flights to and from Ben Gurion Airport - and abroad in general.
Where is it allowed to fly?
Currently, dozens of countries are defined as orange countries.
It is possible to fly to them without the special approval of the Exceptions Committee, and anyone who is defined as vaccinated or recovering can return from them and stay in shortened isolation for only three days.
Countries that can be flown to without a special permit include Romania, Bulgaria, Iceland, Austria, Brazil, Mexico, Ukraine, Argentina, Czech Republic, Bahrain, Thailand, Poland, Cyprus, Maldives, Croatia, Serbia, Greece, Georgia, Dominican Republic and Costa. Empty.
Under what conditions is it allowed to fly to a red country?
The Population Authority has published a list of criteria that includes dozens of scenarios in which Israelis are allowed to fly to a red state.
Among the cases that will receive the approval of the Exceptions Committee: beyond permanent residence, funeral, wedding, businessmen, athletes and diplomats.
In order to fly to a red state one must seek prior approval from the Exceptions Committee, and all returnees from that state are required to be in full isolation for one week, subject to performing two checks.
Whoever is defined as vaccinated or recovering, can move all the insulation in his home;
Anyone who is not defined as vaccinated or recovering is obliged to start the isolation in a motel - and only after receiving a negative result for a corona test will he be able to switch to home isolation.
Everyone must sign up for the use of the concatenation system in order to complete the insulation in the home.

What tests need to be performed to fly and return to Israel?
Vaccinated and recovering people should undergo a corona test before leaving the country, only if the destination country requires it.
Each country has different conditions, and it is important to know them before purchasing a flight ticket.
One way or another, anyone who is not defined as vaccinated or recovering is obligated in any situation to perform a corona test before the flight from Israel.
In addition, each and every one is required to fill out a passenger form departing before the flight from Israel.
Before returning to Israel, a PCR test (within 72 hours before your return) or an antigen test (within 24 hours before your return) must be performed.
Exemptions from these tests: Those who have recovered from Corona during the last three months or those who have been abroad for less than 72 hours (the count begins from the moment of landing at the destination and ends at the moment of departure from it). Can a tourist from abroad enter Israel?
At this stage, the answer is no. Tourists without a special permit cannot enter Israel, even if they are defined as vaccinated
or recovering.

When can I get a refund for the flight?
If the airline cancels the flight, you are entitled to a refund.
If the flight takes off and the ticket you purchased is not revocable or changeable, you may not be eligible for a refund.
Some companies offer, in addition to a few tens of dollars, flight tickets that will allow a refund even in a situation where the flight will not be canceled.
All Israeli airlines offer this, as do quite a few foreign airlines.
