2021-12-26T18:50:35.133Z

After last week the nurses started giving the shots, meanwhile the numbers are disappointing • Since the start of the operation in the schools only 21,000 students have been vaccinated • Tomorrow: the Education Committee will discuss the outline of restrictions in educational institutions

The operation, to which about 400 public health nurses were brought, is not progressing.

Last week, for two days (Wednesday and Thursday) only about 2,000 students were vaccinated and in total since the beginning of the vaccinations in the suppliers, about 21,000 students were vaccinated.

As you may recall, the vaccine mobiles were taken out of the schools for the benefit of the malls and now those who store them are the public health nurses who have been instructed to stop any other vaccination activities.

The Knesset Education Committee is expected to convene tomorrow morning (Monday) at 11:00 a.m. to approve some of the decisions and restrictions pertaining to the education system.

According to the new outline in kindergartens, special education, immigrants, at-risk youth and after-school programs - will operate as usual.

Grades 7-12 in orange and red cities: If 70% do not recover and are vaccinated in the classroom (exemption from isolation) there will be a transition to distance learning in Zoom and there will be no frontal studies. These are 918 classes that will move to distance learning, about 30,000 students.

The big question is what will happen in primary schools, when currently according to the outline in first and sixth grades in red cities the principals will work to reduce contacts, i.e. learning in small groups and learning in open spaces.

However, in the education system there is distress of classrooms and learning in open spaces in winter is almost impossible.

Therefore, some principals may have no choice but to do hybrid media - both in the classroom and remotely.

Health system data today summed up 5,297 corona-sick students in the education system, after on Thursday their number stood at 4,787.

The number of students in solitary confinement also increased to 40,833, after standing at about 38,000 on Thursday.

Today, the latest education traffic light comes into effect, according to which Ma'ale Adumim is a red authority, along with quite a few orange authorities, the most prominent of which is Rishon Lezion, the fourth largest city in the country.

Alongside it, Givat Ze'ev, Elad, Beer Yaakov, Kedumim, Sakhnin, Mi'ilya and Kfar Yassif are also painted orange.

In the big cities the division is into red and orange neighborhoods.

It should be noted that the decisions made in the education system are intended to put pressure on parents to vaccinate their children.

The rate of vaccinated students in the education system currently stands at only 27.8%, while in the lower classes there are about 900,000 students who are not vaccinated.

Meanwhile, only 25% of students at these ages recover or are vaccinated.
