Palestinian prisoner Hisham Abu Hawash continues his hunger strike to protest the continuous crimes of the Israeli occupation against the prisoners, amid threats to his life.
Wafa Agency quoted the Palestinian Prisoners and Ex-Prisoners Affairs Authority as saying in a statement today that there is a real danger to the life of the prisoner Abu Hawash, who continues his strike for the 132nd day due to the severe decrease in his weight, the amount of fluids and salts in his body and the severe stress, warning that he will suffer a sudden health setback that may lead to his death. Or injury to his nervous system due to damage to the functions of his vital organs.
The commission pointed out that the occupation authorities continue to refuse to release the prisoner Abu Hawash despite the seriousness of his health, calling on the International Committee of the Red Cross and international human rights and human rights organizations to pressure the occupation to release him.
About 5,000 Palestinian prisoners inside Israeli jails face harsh detention conditions, including about 600 prisoners who need urgent medical intervention.
