The Robert Koch Institute (RKI) registered 10,100 new corona infections and 88 deaths within 24 hours.

Berlin - The nationwide seven-day incidence has fallen again compared to the previous day.
The Robert Koch Institute (RKI) gave the value of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants and week on Sunday morning as 220.7.

RKI registers 20,398 new corona infections
For comparison: the previous day the value was 242.9.
A week ago the nationwide incidence was 315.4 (previous month: 340.7).
The health authorities in Germany reported 10,100 new corona infections to the RKI within one day.
This is evident from the numbers that reflect the status of the RKI dashboard at 3:51 a.m.
Death rate is falling
The RKI points out that less test and reporting activity can be expected during the holidays and at the turn of the year.
Therefore, the officially reported number of cases could only show an incomplete picture of the corona situation in Germany.
According to the new information, 88 deaths were recorded across Germany within 24 hours.
A week ago there were 180 deaths.
The RKI has counted 6,991,381 detected infections with Sars-CoV-2 since the beginning of the pandemic.
The actual total number is likely to be significantly higher, as many infections are not recognized.
The number of corona patients admitted to clinics per 100,000 inhabitants within seven days was given by the RKI on Friday as 4.55 (Thursday with 4.55).
The RKI stated the number of people recovered on Sunday at 6,113,500.
The number of people who died with or with a proven infection with Sars-CoV-2 rose to 110,364.
