Today, the Iraqi Air Force carried out a series of strikes to destroy hideouts of ISIS terrorists in the Hamrin Mountains, north of Diyala Province, eastern Iraq.
The Security Media Cell said in a statement carried by the Iraqi News Agency, "Inaense" today: To support the land units within the Diyala Operations Command sector, which began today a wide security operation, the Air Force carried out 14 precision strikes, which resulted in the destruction of a group of caves and dens of terrorists in the Hamrin Mountains.
The statement added: The security forces are determined to hunt down terrorist elements in various circumstances and regions, indicating that there will be other preemptive operations, according to accurate intelligence information, to destroy terrorist hideouts, based on an extensive plan prepared for this purpose.
The Iraqi forces continue to pursue the remaining remnants of ISIS terrorists in a number of areas.
