The Arab nation, which goes deep into the depths of history and civilization, was praised by senior scholars and historians who are objective and adhere to the truth, but at the same time it has been subjected to deliberate attempts to distort its history and dangerous skepticism led by orientalists such as the American Gustav von Grunebaum.
Within this context, the study presented by Dr. Khalaf Al-Jarad in his new book entitled (Arab States and Entities in the Levant Before Islam), issued by the Syrian General Book Authority, came to provide an intensification of the historical, geographical and linguistic discussions reached by the majority of researchers and specialists who are characterized by integrity, objectivity and scientific impartiality, in contrast to those authors. And writers aligned with interpretations and orientations of Orientalism associated with the circles of colonialism and Zionism.
Through this intensive study, Dr. Al-Jarad tried to contribute to correcting a number of historical, civilizational and ideological concepts and fallacies that were filled with biased and malicious readings regarding our Arab region in general and the Levant in particular.
In his study, the locust relied on dozens of ancient sources, modern and contemporary literature, excavations and archaeological discoveries in this region, which is rich in its civilizational history and distinguished for thousands of years, with reference to the continuity of heated debates and the emergence of different theories and readings that result in new writings and conflicting and contradictory approaches in this field.
The study, which came in 345 pages of large pieces, was divided into four major research papers that bore the titles (Geography of the Arabian Peninsula and the Location of the Levant in it), (The Question of Arab Relations.. Semitic), (Old Arab Island Migration to the Levant and Iraq and their Civilizational Manifestations) and (States and Arab entities in the Levant before Islam and their most prominent civilizational achievements).
It is noteworthy that Dr. Khalaf Al-Jarad is a researcher, writer and media person, born in Al-Hasakah in 1950. He received a Doctor of Philosophy in philosophical sciences in 1980 from Leningrad State University in the former Soviet Union. He worked as a full-time researcher at the Center for Strategic Studies and Research at Damascus University, as editor-in-chief of the Tishreen newspaper, and general director of the Unity Foundation and ambassador to the Republic. The Syrian Arab Republic in the People's Republic of China has published 19 books between authorship and translation. He is a member of the Arab Writers Union.
