In the context of targeting economic structures and sabotaging strategic crops throughout the Syrian Jazeera, an illegal organization backed by the American occupation forces distributed yesterday suspicious, unknown-source wheat seeds to a number of farmers in villages northeast of Hasaka governorate.

Civil sources in the Malikiyah area told SANA reporter that an illegal organization, in cooperation with the “Qasd” militia and under the supervision of the American occupation, distributed wheat seed to farmers and farmers in the villages of Ain Diwar, Mazraat al-Nasara, Hob al-Hawa, Tal al-Dhahab, Ain al-Khadra al-Jadida and al-Ghamr, pointing out that the distribution is scheduled to include today. The old and healthy villages of Al-Zuhairiyah and Ain Al-Khadra, and then the rest of the villages at a later time.

The sources pointed out that the American occupation forces delude the people that the distributed seeds are good and of high quality to encourage them to use them in their fields, even though it is a hybrid wheat and contains agricultural pests whose cultivation leads to gradually removing agricultural land from investment to become uncultivable in the future and thus hitting the main strategic season on the island Syria and creating a food disaster for the citizens.

The Director of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform in al-Hasakah, Eng. Saeed Jaji, said in a statement to SANA reporter that the seeds that were distributed yesterday were recently entered through the illegal Al-Waleed crossing pointing out that it is the second time that the occupation has introduced wheat seeds of unknown origin during the past two months, as laboratory analyzes showed that they are illegal. They are arable because 40% of them contain nematodes, which inhabit agricultural lands and destroy them permanently.

Eng. Jiji warned all farmers and farmers against receiving seeds of unknown origin, noting that the directorate, through extension units and agricultural departments, would warn farmers in various regions not to deal with these seeds and not to plant them because they pave the way for the final destruction of agriculture in the region.

The head of Al-Hasakah Governorate Peasants’ Union, Abdel-Fattah Ahmed Kahn, warned more than once in statements to SANA’s reporter against dealing with seeds of unknown origin, because they constitute a clear threat to the future of agricultural lands, calling on farmers to refuse to receive any quantities of these seeds, as they are a deadly poison for their lands and to rely only on what the institution provides them with General for seed propagation.

The American occupation forces, through their criminal practices and acts of looting and plundering Syrian wealth, in cooperation with the “Qasd” militia, are fighting the peasants and farmers and trying to suffocate them for their livelihood and push them to leave their areas. Extensive fields planted with wheat and barley, which caused great losses.
