Disastrous end of the year for the ripeurs of Île-de-France.
Two weeks after the death of a garbage collector in Saint-Denis (Seine-Saint-Denis), an employee of a cleaning company was also the victim of a terrible accident that occurred on Christmas Day, in Gennevilliers.
The 51-year-old man was rushed to hospital with his left leg partially severed.
The accident occurred shortly before 9 a.m., at 141 avenue des Grésillons.
In his mirrors, the driver of the garbage truck, which was traveling at very low speed towards the theater, then saw an Audi appear.
The sedan is approaching quickly.
Too fast.
"The circumstances remain to be determined but the driver lost control of his car and hit the back of the truck just as he was about to overtake it," said a police source.

Polytrauma of the lower limbs, he will be transported to the Georges Pompidou hospital in Paris, while the driver of the Audi, also seriously injured in the legs, will be admitted to the Beaujon hospital in Clichy. A hospital where the driver of the dump truck and the second skipper were also transported, in a state of shock.
This dramatic accident comes less than two weeks after the death of Moussa Coulibaly, a 61-year-old ripper who was struck down by a car on November 1 in Saint-Denis.
The accident happened on Wilson Avenue.
The Suez employee, who worked for the Plaine Commune territory service, was in the back of the garbage truck at the time of the collision.
Under the effect of the shock, he was thrown inside the dump truck.
Hit in the head and suffering from multiple injuries, including one to the spinal cord, he was placed in intensive care at Beaujon hospital where he succumbed to his injuries on December 1.
