There are no more polar bears in the Berlin Zoo: Katjuscha, the polar bear, died at the age of 37.
Zoo keepers found the lifeless elderly polar bear on Christmas Eve in their outdoor area, as the zoo announced on Monday.
According to this, the animal had had a heart condition for several years and had been receiving veterinary treatment for a long time.
Katyusha was reportedly the oldest female polar bear in Europe.
Berlin - The animal has reached an extraordinarily old age.
In their natural habitat, polar bears live to a maximum of 25 to 30 years, and very few animals reach the age of 20, it was said.
