Andrey Nikipilov, Director General of Russia's Atom Energomash Corporation, announced his country's intention to launch the first nuclear power plant to produce hydrogen by 2033 and operate it commercially by 2036.
Nikipelov told Sputnik today that according to the roadmap it is assumed that in 2023 the technical design of the reactor of a nuclear power plant will be completed, in the beginning of 2025 obtaining a license to lay a nuclear power plant, and by the fall of the same year the development of design documents, noting that the actual operation of the unit is scheduled to begin.
