South Korea announced today 69 new infections with the omicron mutant of the Corona virus, which is the highest daily toll since the outbreak of the new mutant began.
And Yonhap News Agency quoted the South Korean health authorities as saying that the country reported 69 new cases of the Omicron mutant yesterday, bringing the cumulative number of cases of the mutant to 5.
The World Health Organization classified Omicron, as soon as it was first discovered, on November 26, as worrisome.
