The head of the Al-Fateh Alliance in the Iraqi parliament, Hadi Al-Amiri, announced today the commitment to the decision of the Federal Supreme Court in Iraq to ratify the results of the parliamentary elections.
Al-Amiri said in a statement carried by the Iraqi News Agency today, out of our keenness to abide by the constitution and the law, our fear for the stability of Iraq, and our belief in the political process and its democratic path through the peaceful exchange of power through election boxes, we abide by the decision of the Federal Court.
Al-Amiri added that the appeals we submitted to the Federal Court were court, logical, acceptable and capable of canceling the election results. With all this, we affirm our commitment to the court's decision, which was subjected to very great external and internal pressures.
And ratified the Federal Supreme Court in Iraq, earlier on the results of the House of Representatives elections that were held on the 10th of last October.
