The Cabinet of Experts yesterday recommended to Prime Minister Naftali Bennett that the travel ban to the red countries be completely lifted in the next two weeks, due to the assumption that in about two weeks most of the morbidity and infection will already be within Israel.

The shortlist is likely to include the United Arab Emirates, the United States, France, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Mexico, South Africa, Ethiopia, Tanzania, Nigeria, Hungary, Spain, Portugal, Turkey and Canada - and an exceptions committee will be required to approve citizens' flights to them. .

The 51 countries that will be dropped from the list will be defined as orange, and they will be defined as destinations that have a severe warning against traveling to them.



At the same time, the inter-ministerial team examining the policy of foreigners entering Israel in the days of the Corona, decided to approve the entry of Israeli spouses into the country, provided that they do not come from red countries.

The move applies both to cases of a visit to Israel and to entry for another reason.
