Starnberg - "Get well again quickly, so you can show your teddy the world!" Recovery and Christmas wishes like this one brought cuddly toys to the little patients of the Clinic for Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine at the Starnberg Clinic.
The cuddly comforters were donated by RTL2.
Employees of the television station thought of loving lines for the postcards on the stuffed animals and then made both available to the Starnberg Foundation Kindness for Kids for a donation of their choice.
And it fell on the children's clinic.
"A very wonderful idea, the children will be very happy about it", says Professor Dr.
Thomas Lang, chief physician at the children's clinic.
The occupancy numbers are still high, five girls and boys were admitted to the hospital yesterday alone.
"Of course, a cuddly toy comforts especially the very young patients."
Help children with rare diseases
Kindness for Kids has been a foundation for children with rare diseases since 2003.
"It is our concern to help children and their families on a social and scientific level", says Anja Frankenberger, Executive Chairwoman and together with Dr.
Carolin Engelhorn founder of the foundation.
For example, medically supervised holiday camps for the whole family are organized and financed across Germany.
The foundation is supported by a scientific advisory board in medical questions and in the selection of medical projects.
Incidentally, Professor Lang also sits on the committee that awards the supply award every two years.
