The Ammerland water rescue service can now offer swimming courses.
The first run recently started in the new indoor swimming pool in Geretsried.
Geretsried - A great wish came true for the water watchmen from Ammerland.
With the opening of the new inter-municipal indoor swimming pool in Geretsried, they can offer swimming courses there.
"Financial hurdles were overcome quickly and easily thanks to the support of the Münsing community," said the water rescue service.
The first course could be offered with the participation of, among others, Stephan Vogt and Meike Döhla with a large team of trainers.
Recently, the first candidates were able to lay down their long-awaited seahorses.
"We are very happy about the conditions and the opportunities that are offered to us here," says the message.
“With a team of trainers and helpers currently made up of ten people, we can make a difference,” says Vogt.
The next course is already planned, it will start on January 26th next year.
"After the rush was very large, we decided to offer a 'double course'", says Vogt.
In this way, 24 girls and boys could be offered a place on the course.
Meike Döhla: "These two courses have already been filled on the waiting list, but things will certainly continue after that."
