Following the approach of her previous poetry collections, the poet Fatima Al-Hassan wrote in her new collection (The Memory of Love), after her collections, the divisions of a homeland, the shadows of a dream, the breeze of the soul, traversing the path of modernity, and the prose poem stored in sensual and symbolic images.

The collection, which came in one hundred and three pages of medium pieces, issued by Al-Ghanim House for Culture and Publishing, included among its papers fifty-six poetic texts, which Al-Hassan saturated with intense emotional sentiment and sadness. However, love remains the only hope in these painful turmoil.

About the group and his critical vision in it, the critic and writer Muhammad Rostom saw that whoever immerses himself in the memory of love learns about aesthetics, as Al-Hassan excelled in employing metaphors and displacements that appeared in her use of language derivations from participatory formulas, as well as her deep culture through her ability to intertextuality as she said, “May the wind of Yusuf and its adoption of easy language And the music that comes on the chord of feelings and the decision and answer it carries, and the conclusion remains open without locks.

In turn, the writer and storyteller Abeer Menon described the poetic collection as beautiful because Al-Hassan succeeded in expressing her feminine ambition and her belief that love is salvation, while the questions she posed in her texts evoke images of thought and reason using suggestive poetry full of love stories.

For his part, the critic Issa Ismail, a member of the Arab Writers Union, saw that the group’s poems are among the most beautiful recently issued prose poems, which made the poet Al-Hassan a distinguished imprint among the poets of her generation because of her poems of wide culture and imagination and a careful selection of words and poetic images that fascinate the reader and mix them between nostalgia, joy, love and invocation of women. With her full femininity, she also succeeded in using the opposite dualities, taking the reader to beautiful, boundless spaces through words pulsing with longing and life.
