The lawyer for the commander of the Lev HaBira police station in Jerusalem, Lt. Col. Shimi Marciano, who is accused of assaulting an ultra-Orthodox boy during a demonstration, demanded that he summon MK Itamar Ben Gvir to testify at the policeman's trial.

This, following Marciano's claim at a hearing last month, according to which he met MK Ben Gvir at the police station, who offered him access to the DIP and "to make a sulha", while providing compensation to the child.

In response to the summons, MK Ben Gvir submitted a response letter in which he claimed that it was an idle summons intended to alleviate the seriousness of the incident. "MK to testify in court is an exception and when it comes to a case where there is confidentiality about the conversation, the MK will not be able to testify about it and there is no room to allow a discussion about it."

Ben Gvir further claimed that he did not remember the details of the conversation with Marciano, "but it is certainly unlikely that he had a head stick in attacking the complainant."

He noted that in any case he could not reach an agreement on behalf of DIP.

very hard.

"Of someone who is still an officer in the Jerusalem police, he comes into contact with boys and girls and today he hurts such a boy and tomorrow he can hurt any other boy."

Attorney Adi Wellnerman, representing DIP, said in response to the court that they do not see the need to summon Ben Gvir to testify.

"From the outset, the accuser believed that there was no place to summon the witness, as there was no relevance to the things," it was reported.

Meanwhile, Snogoro Commander Marciano, attorney Dov Gilad Cohen repeatedly insisted that the investigation of MK Ben kingpin "needed yet."

Magistrate Jerusalem Gioia Scapa Shapiro ordered the summoning of MK Ben Gvir appeared to testify, but he did not appear in court this week, after claiming he was stuck in traffic jams.
