The city of Jenin in the West Bank witnessed this evening a protest sit-in denouncing the continued detention of the bodies of Palestinian martyrs by the Israeli occupation, in flagrant violation of international laws and covenants.
In this context, the families of the martyrs, representatives of the Palestinian forces and participants in the vigil called on the international community to pressure the occupation to return the bodies of the martyrs it is holding and hand them over to their families for burial, according to Wafa Agency.
About 5,000 Palestinian prisoners inside Israeli jails face harsh detention conditions, including about 600 prisoners who need urgent medical intervention.
