The Council of Ministers approved the proposal of the Joint Management Committee of the Wounded Homeland Project to increase the monthly compensation for the wounded in war operations from the Popular Defense Forces.
The council approved, according to a statement, a copy of which was received by SANA today, that the value of the monthly increase in compensation is 20 thousand Syrian pounds, where the monthly compensation for the deficit ratios segment increased from (70 to 79) percent, from 110,000 to 130 thousand Syrian pounds, and the monthly compensation for the disability percentage bracket increased from (40 to 69) percent from 80 thousand to 100 thousand.
The Joint Committee of the Homeland Wounded Project also approved an increase of 20,000 on the monthly compensation for the total disability wounded from the Popular Defense Forces, bringing the value of this compensation to 140,000 liras per month, and the increase will be covered for the total disability bracket from the Homeland Wounded Fund.
In December, President Bashar al-Assad issued Decree No. 30 granting retired military personnel an increase of 25 percent of the retirement pension.
