A couple from Fürth donated several presents to the Erlangen University Hospital for Christmas.

Children with cancer were thus granted their hearts' wishes.

Nuremberg - “First he has 'Please no more syringes!' written. But then he crossed that out and asked for a huge teddy bear. ”While reading this wish list, the Fürtherin * Jeannine Rauch tears welled up in her eyes. For them it is a matter of honor to fulfill exactly such desires of the heart. According to a press release from the

University Clinic Erlangen

, she and her fiancé Serok Kilic presented 115 gift packages, 110 vouchers and five boxes full of toys to the Pediatric Oncology Department at the University Clinic Erlangen on December 23. Prof. Dr. Markus Metzler, head of the station, gratefully accepted the surprises with a total value of around 10,000 euros. The donation has now been made to Pediatric Oncology for the eighth year in a row and is now a beautiful tradition.

Nuremberg: Fürth couple wraps gifts for pediatric oncology themselves

"We are always really looking forward to Ms. Rauch and Mr. Kilic's pre-Christmas visit," says Prof. Metzler.

Each gift is "extremely lovingly and individually wrapped" and the couple would go to a lot of effort to really fulfill every heart's desire.

However, the two did not have much time for this - according to the report, the wish lists were not handed over to them until the beginning of December.

As in previous years, they were supported by Spielkiste Lang in Höchstadt / Aisch.

This year, a large donation came from Möbius + Ruppert GmbH & Co. KG in Erlangen.

Prof. Dr.

Friedrich Hennig, emeritus head of trauma surgery at the University Hospital Erlangen and former head of Jeannine Rauch, also made a donation.

In addition, friends and family of the Fürtherin supported the campaign.

The Erlangen dealership Kraus provided a transporter for the delivery of all the parcels.

In the meantime the house of the couple from Fürth resembled “a warehouse”, jokes Serok Kilic.

For a whole Advent weekend gifts were wrapped and "bows tied" here.

Nuremberg: the nursing staff's heartfelt wish fulfilled

The heartfelt wish of the care team at Ward 2C was also heard this year: a big bell.

The bell is supposed to ring in the end of intensive therapy for young people - because this “extremely emotional moment” is “a very important milestone”, according to Maresa Siebert, head of ward 2C.

Now the girls and boys can audibly share and celebrate the completion of their treatment with everyone on the other wards.
