In the case of the triple death in a single-family house in Glinde near Hamburg, an autopsy identified the father as the perpetrator.
His two 11 and 13-year-old sons were each shot dead, as a spokesman for the Lübeck public prosecutor's office told the German press agency on Tuesday.
The forensic medical examinations also showed that the father "obviously taught himself his fatal injuries".
Glinde - The evaluation of the emergency call also showed that the 44-year-old was the one "who was responsible for the shots".
According to the information, the wife dropped the emergency call.
She was still in an artificial coma on Tuesday with multiple gunshot wounds.
