In Pommersfelden (Bamberg district) a barn burned down completely.

"Half the village could have burned down," says District Administrator Johann Kalb.

Pommersfelden - The fire in a barn in Pommersfelden (Bamberg district *) caused property damage of an estimated 300,000 euros.

During the operation on Monday evening (December 27), residents were warned of the massive smoke development and flying sparks over Pommersfelden.

That is what the police said.

Nobody was injured in the fire.

The emergency services were able to prevent the flames from spreading to other buildings.

However, the barn, which housed various devices, burned down completely.

A side wing of the barn was also badly damaged and may have to be demolished.

The police managed to get the chickens that were in a coop behind the barn to safety in time.
