Two cruise ships start from Hamburg in the direction of Dubai.

How many passengers are affected is still unclear.

Those who tested positive and the corresponding contact persons of the infected were immediately isolated from one another on board.
"It is planned that the people who tested positive will be disembarked in Dubai and placed in quarantine, where they will be looked after by a medical service provider", so the further wording of the statement.
Both cruise ships arrived in the Arabian Sea off Dubai on the morning of December 28th.
How many people on board the ships "Europa" and "Europa 2" were affected is not yet available.
In North and Central America, too, cruise ships have been targeted by health authorities and various ports due to the increased risk of infection.

According to the information, all employees and passengers on board are fully vaccinated, and tests are carried out regularly.
Originally, the "Europa 2" was supposed to travel on from Dubai to Mauritius with almost 300 guests and 380 crew members over Christmas and New Year's Eve.
However, nothing will come of this: The cruise will end prematurely on December 30th or 31st.
Meanwhile, the corona pandemic is slowing down the annual flu wave for the second time in a row.
The "Europa" wanted to head for Mauritius and the Maldives with 240 passengers and 280 crew members over the holidays.
After her stay on the Arabian Peninsula, she will continue her journey to the Maldives.
