Around 60 gifts for children, young people and senior citizens were waiting under the Christmas tree in the customer foyer of the Volksbank Raiffeisenbank in the old town.

In cooperation with the youth welfare office and the Dachauer Tafel, the employees of the cooperative bank are giving gifts to 30 needy children and young people as well as 30 senior citizens from Dachau and the district again this year.

The VR Wunschbaum is organized by the marketing staff Karin Rauscher and Andrea Beider.

On behalf of their colleagues, both presented 30 Christmas presents to the head of the Dachauer Tafel Edda Third Prize in the presence of bank director Johann Schöpfel. She was overjoyed that the seniors in need were also thought of this year. "Everyday life is difficult enough for our customers, and now there are also the difficulties of the pandemic. It's great that the bank workforce thinks of them, ”said Third Prize.

In a second meeting, the two bank employees presented 30 more gifts to the head of the youth welfare office, Steffi Weinhold, and her deputy, Isabella Brähler. They were also happy about the many beautiful parcels for a good cause. “On behalf of our children and their parents, we say thank you very much. They make the families very happy every year, ”said Steffi Weinhold, addressing the bank board member Karl-Heinz Hempel.

The needy children and the elderly, who are looked after by the Dachauer Tafel, anonymously share their Christmas wishes.

The bank employees get the presents and wrap them for Christmas.

“We are happy when we can make a contribution and give joy for Christmas”, said the organizer Andrea Beider.

The Dachauer Tafel forwards the gifts to the senior citizens.

The youth welfare office will forward the gifts for the children to the parents in good time so that they can be found under the Christmas tree on Christmas Eve.
