Clashes between Jordanian MPs (Twitter)
Jordanian lawmakers, including the speaker of parliament, exchanged blows today (Tuesday) during a heated debate on changes to the constitution, including a clause guaranteeing gender equality.
Among the other constitutional reforms discussed in parliament is the establishment of a National Security Council, and the shortening of the mandate of the Speaker of Parliament from two years now to only one year.
