The city of Munich is arming itself against an unannounced corona demonstration on December 29th.

The police are also upgrading: around 1,000 officers are on duty.

Munich - You want to "flood" the city center, threatened members of a lateral thinker chat group to protest on December 29th. Yes, thousands of people are planning to demonstrate again against compulsory vaccination. The protest last week was not peaceful. The police will now be on site with twice the strength - around 1,000 officers are on duty. And: The city issued a general decree yesterday. If you take part in demos that have not been registered, you risk a fine of up to 3000 euros! 

The initiative “Munich stands up” has called for a protest.

She organizes the demos that have been taking place every Wednesday for a few weeks now.

Last week the KVR referred the demonstration from Ludwigstrasse to Theresienwiese and limited the number of participants to 2000. The approximately 5000 demonstrators did not cooperate and met for “walks” in the city center.

Such a demo also took place on Monday as a “walk” - just like in Freising, Erding or Fürstenfeldbruck.

Protests against compulsory vaccination: City of Munich prohibits demonstration in the university district

The KVR has also forbidden the demo in the university district for this evening and referred to the Theresienwiese including person restrictions.

The initiative threatens to sue.

In a letter to the city, the alliance takes a position: The protest is not visible enough on Theresienwiese.

"If we cancel the meeting, people will still gather." But the fact is now: the police could collect fines.

The "walks" were also announced in the chat group.

One letter there speaks of "war".

A member of a chat even asked to bring knives on December 29th.

Two weeks ago, a Munich resident asked in a chat group to set fire to government buildings.

He was provisionally arrested. 

According to the police, the focus of the demo today will be on Odeonsplatz, Marienplatz and Ludwigstrasse.

Some of the officers who are on duty had to be taken off vacation.

One will intervene consistently.
