The Minister of Health of Argentina, Carla Vizzotti, announced this Wednesday that it was agreed with the provinces to reduce the isolation from 10 to 5 days for close contacts of confirmed cases of covid-19 that are asymptomatic and have the scheme complete vaccination.

In a press conference from the Casa Rosada, he added that in the case of asymptomatic close contacts without a complete vaccination scheme, the 10 days of isolation should be performed as has been done until now or 7 days and a PCR test.

As for the confirmed cases with a complete vaccination scheme, the isolation is 7 days and the confirmed cases without inoculation, the isolation will be 10 days.

Vizzotti clarified that these recommendations are "dynamic" and that they will be "permanently monitored."

Until this Tuesday, the Ministry of Health confirmed 5,514,207 cases of covid-19 and 117,085 deaths associated with the disease.
