Today, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants held a farewell party for the Ambassador of the Republic of Lebanon in Damascus, Saad Zakhia, on the occasion of the end of his duties as the country's ambassador to the Syrian Arab Republic, at the Four Seasons Hotel in Damascus.
During the ceremony, Dr. Bashar Al-Jaafari, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, awarded Ambassador Zakhia the Syrian Order of Merit of the Excellent Class, in appreciation of his good efforts in strengthening relations between the two brotherly countries.
Al-Jaafari stressed the depth of the brotherly relations between the two countries and the two peoples, pointing out that they believe that no party can separate them, and that the peoples of the two countries are “genetically one,” noting Zakhia’s efforts in serving the interests of both countries and his success in managing many files despite the difficult circumstances that Lebanon and the region are going through, pointing out that his efforts Appreciation and attention, wishing him success.
In turn, Ambassador Zakhia expressed his thanks and gratitude for granting him this medal, considering it an incentive to pursue the persistent and persistent effort in continuing relations and activities in public affairs to reach the safety of the two peoples, based on the firm belief in permanent integration between the two countries, which leads to confronting and removing the unjust siege and to progress and victory.
Ambassador Zakhia expressed his thanks to the Syrian government and people, the staff of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the accredited diplomatic corps, the Syrian-Lebanese Supreme Council, and the Lebanese embassy staff for their cooperation with him in completing his duties as ambassador to his country, wishing on the occasion of the glorious Christmases and the New Year for Syria continued progress and prosperity.
The ceremony was attended by a number of ambassadors accredited in Damascus and directors of departments in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants.
