Dr.

Christian Kröner from Neu-Ulm is known as the "Impfluencer".

Despite threats, he wants to continue campaigning for corona vaccinations.

Neu-Ulm - About a year ago he was one of many anonymous general practitioners in Germany.

Then he became one of the most famous representatives of the corona vaccination campaign - and attracted hatred.

But that doesn't stop the “vaccineer” Christian Kröner.

"Impfluencer" Christian Kröner: Doctor continues to campaign for corona vaccinations

He wants to continue campaigning for corona vaccinations in the coming year despite the threats. The doctor from Neu-Ulm became known throughout Germany last year because he aggressively promoted the corona vaccination. As a result, he was often insulted and received death threats. One of the perpetrators has now been sentenced to prison. In other cases, the proceedings were still ongoing, reports Kröner. He emphasizes that he won't let himself be intimidated and will keep going.

A few weeks ago, the district court in Günzburg sent a man behind bars who had attacked Kröner via a message on his cell phone.

The verdict: three months without parole.

A spokeswoman for the court explained the harsh sentence that the accused had a relevant criminal record.

Kröner had filed a complaint in numerous cases.

Kröner reports that the criminal investigation department is involved in the cases.

"Quite a few perpetrators are being identified," he says.

Dr.

Christian Kröner: The note on corona vaccinations went viral

For the first time, Kröner caused a stir at the end of 2020 - with an information sheet about the vaccinations starting at that time.

On the piece of paper, he cleared up prejudices against vaccinations - also in a humorous way.

The document was a hit on Facebook and shared thousands of times.

Kröner became known nationwide and a sought-after contact person for the media - meanwhile the general practitioner also describes himself as an “impfluencer”.

Some time ago there was a little glitch when storing the vaccines in his practice because the medication might get a little too warm.

Kröner offered his patients antibody tests.

Ultimately, despite the suspected interruption of the cold chain, there were no problems with his vaccinations, and the patients did not resent him, says the doctor.

Lateral thinkers and vaccination speed: Bavaria's health minister in conversation

Recovered: Insufficient protection against Omicron?

"Helps as well as a fire extinguisher in the event of water damage"

The doctor continues with his vaccination offers.

Shortly before Christmas, he invited five to eleven year olds to a “child vaccination day” without prior notification.

He also provides information on current scientific developments on Twitter.

For example, he recently pointed out to those who had recovered that they did not have sufficient protection against the new Omicron variant.

"Helps as well as a fire extinguisher in the event of water damage," was his conclusion about protection after illnesses with other variants.

Those affected should "definitely get vaccinated".

In view of such an offensive vaccination communication, Kröner is still in the focus of the vaccination opponents.

According to a spokesman for the police headquarters in Kempten, there are now more than 250 cases with the investigators.

The threats have decreased, says Kröner.

"But it has not stopped." Once you are known to be an advocate of vaccinations, you remain an "enemy".

The problems with Omikron are also not an argument against vaccination with the previous preparations, he emphasizes.

The infection protection is actually no longer given, but those affected usually have mild courses.

"The protection against severe progress and death, which is the decisive factor, is still very, very good."

Tobias Gensberger, Mayor of Bergheim, polarized with statements critical of the vaccination.

These were published in the parish gazette on Christmas Eve.
