The Anti-Narcotics Division of the General Directorate of Lebanese Customs seized a large quantity of “Capagon” hidden in citrus boxes for the purpose of disguise.
The Division said in a statement that work is underway to extract drugs and that investigations are continuing, noting that a number of those involved in this operation have been arrested.
In turn, the Lebanese Minister of Interior and Municipalities, Bassam Mawlawi, announced the discovery of the smuggling operation of 9 million Captagon pills packed with a shipment of lemons at the port of Beirut, which were seized by Lebanese customs agents.
