Prime Minister Naftali Bennett announced today (Wednesday) the appointment of Brigadier General (Res.) Moshe Edri as Chairman of the Atomic Energy Committee.
"The appointment will take effect in July 2022.
" Moshe Edri is the right person at the right time. His impressive performance, in-depth understanding and willingness to take on any task at the national level have left a deep impression on me as Minister of Defense, "said Prime Minister Nafti Bennett.
Bennett added that "there is no doubt that Edri will meet the challenges and the enormous tasks that the regional reality invites."

Edri, 59, currently serves as head of defense at the Ministry of Defense, in which he coordinates the treatment of the corona virus at the national level.
Edri also serves in the Ministry of Defense as the Superintendent of Special Measures (EMM). Edri holds a bachelor's degree in Middle Eastern and African Studies from the University of Haifa, and a master's degree in public policy from Bar Ilan University
