During the first four days of quarantine at the Penny's Bay Quarantine Center, the sample was positive on December 27, the second day after arriving in Hong Kong.
She developed symptoms of a sore throat on December 28, with a viral Ct value of less than 30.
The Centre for Health Protection of the Department of Health stated that, for the sake of prudence, the places she had lived and visited in Hong Kong during the incubation period have been included in the mandatory testing announcement.
Anyone who has been in the relevant specified place during the specified period shall undergo mandatory testing on the specified day.
Yesterday (28th) the center responded to four preliminary confirmed or confirmed imported cases that had stayed in Hong Kong during the incubation period, including Diocesan Girls’ College. The 15-year-old female patient was selected as a secondary fourth student.
