It is understood that those arrested include former editor-in-chief of "Stance News" Zhong Peiquan, Zhou Dazhi, Wu Aiyi, Fang Minsheng, He Yunshi, and Lin Shaotong.

The Information Services Department stated that the National Security Service of the Police Force arrested six senior officials or former senior officials of online media companies this morning on suspicion of conspiracy to publish seditious publications in violation of Sections 9 and 10 of the Criminal Offences Ordinance.
The ages of the 3 men and 3 women ranged from 34 to 73 years old.
The police also searched the premises of the arrested person.
In addition, the National Security Service of the Police Force today (December 29) executed a court warrant issued by the court in accordance with Schedule 1 of the Implementation Rules of Article 43 of the Hong Kong National Security Act to search the office of an online media company in Kwun Tong District.
A search warrant includes the power to authorize the police to search and seize news materials.
During the operation, the police dispatched more than 200 uniformed and plainclothes personnel, and the search operation is still in progress.
