Sham Shui Po BMW RV self-immolated when driving, the whole car burned and the driver escaped in time

A car fire accident occurred in Sham Shui Po. At about 3 am, it was reported that a BMW motorhome was driving along Tai Po Road towards Kowloon, and when it was about to turn right at the light of Mei Ho House, when it was about to turn right in Sham Shui Po, the driver was surprised that smoke was emitted from the bottom of the car.

At about 3 in the morning, a BMW motorhome was reported to be driving along Tai Po Road towards Kowloon and approaching the light of Mei Ho House. When it was about to turn right into Sham Shui Po, the bottom of the car suddenly smoked and the driver got out of the car as soon as he heard the smell. Escape and report the incident. During the period when the truck on the opposite lane arrived, the truck driver saw the situation and immediately got off the truck to assist in the fire fighting. However, the fire was too strong and eventually gave up.

After receiving the report, the firefighter rushed to the scene to open the throat and put the fire out, but the whole car was burned down.

Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident.

After initial investigation by the fire department, the cause of the fire was found to be unsuspicious. It is reported that a battery problem is suspected to have caused the fire.


Mr. Feng, the BMW driver involved, said that the car was rented from a car dealership for about 13,000 yuan a month. It has been rented from last year to the present in 2017.

Feng called the car dealer to report the incident afterwards and quoted the dealer as saying that he would provide him with another car to continue renting.
