The Syrian army has refrained from firing anti-aircraft missiles at the aircraft that attacked the port of Latakia yesterday, due to the presence of a Russian plane in the skies of western Syria, the Russian news agency "RIA" reported today (Wednesday).
According to the report, which quoted the Russian Ministry of Defense, it was alleged that the Israeli Air Force f-16s carried out the attack on a container terminal in the port of Latakia and they fired four missiles at the facility.
Yesterday, his Syrian State News Agent "Sana" claimed that MM machine gun fire was opened at the attackers, but the advanced air defense systems were not used.

The attack took place not far from the warm Russian Air Force base, where advanced S-400 air defense systems are stationed.
