Every leader needs to go through different stages of training, learning and even practice before they can develop their leadership potential and expertise.

Two girls who were more than ten years apart participated in the "Hong Kong 200" Leadership Program of the Leadership Academy of the Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups and were inspired to actively participate in social affairs.

Some people dream of becoming a doctor to help patients with eczema and are interested in Elder Technology; others are committed to international non-governmental organizations and are determined to help disadvantaged communities.

The "Hong Kong 200" Leadership Program of the Leadership Institute of the Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups is fully supported by HSBC. It is one of the key courses of the "HSBC Future Skills Training Program". It provides a more comprehensive, professional and forward-looking leadership training experience for middle school students with outstanding potential. Cultivate young people's future skills and assist them in the task of promoting social development.

Cen Peixin dreams of becoming a doctor.

She applied for the "Hong Kong 200" overseas scholarship to study Harvard University's online leadership foundation course, hoping to strengthen soft skills and have good communication with patients in the future.

15-year-old Peony is the captain of the school's debate team and won the junior high school championship in the English Speech Contest of the Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups.

She was recommended by the school to participate in the "Hong Kong 200" Leadership Program last summer. The content included a series of leadership courses, dialogues with experts, team adventure training, community exploration and other activities to meet like-minded friends.

Later, in the planned social and innovation activity "Project for Hong Kong", they designed a set of elderly and elderly technology for the elderly with limited mobility, with the purpose of helping them break the dilemma of social isolation through virtual reality (VR). The team even won a silver award in the event competition.

She pointed out that even if the debate is successful, there has always been a lack of sales experience, and the team needs to submit proposals to the review. Therefore, she rehearsed countless times and described the experience as commendable.

Peony dreams of becoming a doctor, helping patients who are also suffering from eczema.

She understands that the medical profession needs good communication and collaboration skills in order to give full play to its profession.

At present, university courses are mostly focused on subject content, so she applied for the "Hong Kong 200" scholarship to take the Harvard University online leader basic course, and strive for the opportunity to practice soft skills early. "Doctors need to cooperate with different people and conflicts are inevitable. I hope that strengthening communication and management skills will help me balance the opinions of all parties and provide patients with the most appropriate treatment plan."

Chen Jingyi (second row, second from right) participated in "Hong Kong 200" in 2008. She can never remember the post-event review after each event, sorting out her learning experience, describing almost all of her reluctance to leave, and she still remembers her teacher saying, "There are more than one kind of leaders. In the established model, both introverts and extroverts can become leaders, and people with all characteristics have their own learning."

Peony is not alone in participating in social affairs.

After graduating from university, Audrey worked in different non-governmental organizations and has become a middle-level manager. Faced with the pressure of her boss and the voice of the team, she will inevitably become a sandwich class in the workplace, let alone play a leading role.

She just noticed that "Hong Kong 200" provided scholarships for a large number of students and former students, so she applied for the leadership course of the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

Audrey encounters the bottleneck of practical leadership theory in the workplace, and hopes to effectively learn more skills through further study opportunities to become a leader, not just a project manager.

She hopes to communicate with the team more and build a deeper relationship, which will help drive the whole team forward.

She believes that "Hong Kong 200" provides students with long-term leadership training with an international perspective, encourages young people to actively participate, continue to learn leadership characteristics, and is willing to give back to the society.

The "Hong Kong 200" Leadership Program has provided various leadership training for 200 middle school students every year since 2006.

The trainees later became members of the "Hong Kong 200 Association", and the huge network of contacts provides mentorship programs, talent training and other projects.

For the first time this year, students of previous generations will be connected and scholarships will be provided to study at internationally renowned universities, including online leadership courses at Oxford University in the United Kingdom and Harvard University in the United States.
