A family dispute would be at the origin of the drama which played out in Ablon-sur-Seine this Tuesday afternoon, in the middle of the street, and which cost the life of a 46-year-old father.

The events took place on rue du Bac, at the corner with the Quai de la Baronnie which runs along the river.

At around 4:30 p.m., his 23-year-old son allegedly stabbed him to death several times in the neck and head.

The father is said to have collapsed on the sidewalk, lying in a pool of blood.

His son allegedly kicked him several times, still on the head but also on the whole body.

He then allegedly threw the knife into the Seine.

Psychiatric examination for the son

It was the agents of the municipal police of Villeneuve-le-Roi and Ablon-sur-Seine who arrived first on the spot and made it possible to arrest the son.

The latter would have immediately recognized the facts and would not have put up resistance during his arrest.

Meanwhile, the Choisy-le-Roi firefighters and the Smur medical team took care of the father, who was in critical condition.

They tried to save him.

In vain.

He died around 6 p.m.

These two men, originally from Guyana, lived a few streets away, in Athis-Mons (Essonne), in the same home.

The investigation was entrusted by the Créteil prosecutor's office to the criminal brigade of the judicial police of Val-de-Marne.

The alleged perpetrator was taken into police custody and required a psychiatric examination.

For now, the reasons for the dispute are not yet known.
