While the last regional and departmental elections were marked by a record abstention, and the Covid epidemic seems far from over, the specter of an abandonment of the ballot boxes hangs over the next presidential election.
On April 10 and 24, 2022, all French people registered on the electoral rolls will participate in the choice of the future President of the Republic.
According to INSEE, around 94% of citizens of voting age, or nearly 48 million people, are currently registered.
However, according to a study by BVA Opinion, 9% of French people are in fact not registered on the electoral lists or in any case do not think they are.
This situation would concern more than 4.5 million voters.
A significant figure.
