The Public Corporation for Drinking Water and Sanitation in Daraa has completed the implementation of five projects and put them into service, with a total value of one billion and 389 million pounds.
In a statement to SANA, the Director General of the Foundation, Engineer Muhammad Al-Masalma, stated that the projects include the Al-Quniyah Al-Sanamayn line feeding Al-Sanamayn city from Al-Quniyah station at a cost of one billion Syrian pounds, which serves 70,000 people, and the rehabilitation of reservoirs in the towns of Al-Sheikh Miskin Al-Dali Nameer at a cost of 30 million Syrian pounds, and digging a well in the town of Al-Sheikh Poor at a cost of 40 million Syrian pounds.
The projects also included, according to the engineer, Al-Masalma, putting the network of the western neighborhood in the town of Jabab into service at a cost of 119 million Syrian pounds and serving about ten thousand people, and implementing the network of the town of Atman at a cost of 200 million Syrian pounds, which serves about 15 thousand people.
Regarding the Nawa pumping station project between al-Masalma, 99 percent of the project, which costs 222 million Syrian pounds and serves 30,000 people, has been completed, pointing out that the Corporation began digging a well in the town of Mothbin at a cost of 30 million Syrian pounds, in addition to rehabilitating the Tafas reservoir at a cost of 14 million.
