The Hof Hasharon school near Kibbutz Shefayim was closed today (Thursday) following a local corona outbreak. 137 people were found to be infected with the virus in the area, of whom 114 were vaccinated with booster or recovering. 98 of those infected are students in the educational institution, five of them staff members and all the others infected from the community.
An epidemiological investigation of the outbreak revealed that the source of the infection was an incident of the youth movement in Misgav for ninth-twelfth grades, which took place in a closed area and without observing instructions. The whole school is closed until further notice.
"Since last Wednesday, I have been zooming in, they sent us a message that there are full verified people in the class, and at first they said that some of the classes were being taken out of the school," said a tenth-grade student from Hof Hasharon. "We were advised to go do speed tests and PCR, but I am not in isolation because I am vaccinated a third time."
According to her, many teachers are ill and as a result there are no full-time studies because some of the lessons are canceled: "Many teachers said they were not feeling well, many sick teachers, today they sent us a message about another teacher who is not feeling well. "But they discovered verified and brought them home today, and everyone who went went to do tests."

The mother of other children attending school said: "My children have been home for a week, and I think it would be better for them to be zoomed in - and not be in school.
